St Philip Howard Catholic School strives to ensure that all students are supported to feel safe, secure and happy. We train and empower all staff to recognise and respond effectively to protect a child who may be at risk of significant harm. All staff members in our school maintain an attitude of ‘it could happen here’ and feel able to raise concerns either about a child at risk or a member of staff whose behaviour may present a risk to a child. Our Pastoral teams work with a number of external agencies to ensure specialist support services are available to young people and their parents / carers.

“It is not enough to love the children, it is necessary that they are aware they are loved” - St John Bosco

Getting support and guidance from those individuals specifically trained in an area of support is always the best option.

Our Go2 page provides a ‘one stop shop’ for your external safeguarding needs. Please do also regularly discuss Go2 support with your child, as every student at SPH should have at least two members of staff they feel they could ‘Go2’ when in need of support, advice or guidance.

If you are concerned about a friend, child, colleague or family member you will hopefully find something to support them
on our Go2 page.
