Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey

A group of eight students had the honour of joining the national celebration of Commonwealth Day at Westminster Abbey.

As a Catholic school community, it was a privilege to take part in such a meaningful and historic service, which brought together representatives from across the Commonwealth to reflect on unity, service, and shared values, something very much needed in our current world.

The atmosphere inside the Abbey was both prayerful and inspiring, with beautiful music, readings, performances and reflections highlighting the rich diversity of the Commonwealth. With front row seats, and being within touching distance of the Royal Family, the pressure was on! As always, our students represented the school with great dignity, genuinely taking in the significance of the occasion and the presence of the Royal Family, who attended alongside other dignitaries and faith leaders.

It was a memorable day for all involved—one that deepened our appreciation of global community, encouraged us in our mission of service, and created lasting memories for our young people.
