GCSE Results – SPH students make exceptional progress!

Key figures
• A*–A Grades *– 25%
• 5+ A*–C Grades *– 85%
• A*–C Grades (incl. English and Maths) *– 79%

Students, staff and parents are celebrating the best ever results at SPH, which demonstrate the exceptional progress students have made in their time at the school. With new specifications being delivered and the implementation of more rigorous assessment criteria, this is particularly good news.

Particular commendation goes to Sarah Thomas, Grace Hattersley and Alexander McAuley who all achieved nine Grade 9s (only the top 3% of the Nation are awarded Grade 9s). Twins, Ruby and Neve Ferrie achieved 18 Grade 9s to 7 between them and the following all achieved eight or more GCSEs at Grade 9-7: Henry Poulter, Richard Haughey, Jonny Elliott, Anna Sharp, Sebastien MacDonald, Samuel Harding, Ben Goman, Annie Gibson, Olivia Furneaux, Natalie Dudak, Charles Bush, Annais Austen-Stanley, Eloise Squire, Natasha Katashila and Phoebe Norman.

We are very proud of all that our students have achieved and look forward to welcoming the vast majority, along with new students, into our Sixth Form. My thanks go to the staff who have taught the students so well and coped with enormous amounts of change in the curriculum and to our ever-supportive parents, without whom we couldn't do it! Anyone wishing to attend our Sixth Form are welcome contact the school on www.sphcs.co.uk with enrolment on Monday 3rd September 2018.
