Useful Information

I am proud to welcome you to SPH. Our aim here is simple. We want to be the best school for your child and we will work tirelessly to achieve this goal.

In practice this means achieving outstanding grades - better than any your child could hope to achieve elsewhere. It means having the opportunities to be enriched by a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, where all are encouraged to participate and feel valued for their unique gifts and talents. Most importantly, it means placing our Catholic Christian faith and identity firmly at the heart of all that we say and do. We are called to be Christ's body here on earth and this challenge is readily accepted by one and all at SPH.

We have high standards and expect all of our students to flourish and thrive academically as well as to contribute to the wider life of the school. They do this through extra-curricular activities, fundraising, the spiritual life of the school and by being positive role models in their attitude and behaviour. In April 2016 Ofsted rated the school as ´outstanding´ in all categories (please read the report here) and our most recent results at GCSE and A Level continue to place the school in the Top 10% of schools nationally for both GCSE and A Level. We are extremely proud of the achievements of all our students and the hard work put in by staff, parents and governors.

As a proud member of the Bosco Catholic Education Trust, we know the importance of, and work hard to live out the aspiration of our patron, St John Bosco, to be a school community where all are ‘known and loved’.

Whether you are a prospective parent, member of staff or just a visitor, do please come and visit us; we´d be delighted to meet you. Every day is Open Day!
