Chapel Appeal 2017

We are delighted to inform you that our appeal for funds to build a new chapel at St Philip Howard Catholic School has been a success! Through the kindness and generosity of our local parishes, finance committees and families, over £40,000 was raised. This is a tremendous achievement!

The money raised, together with some capital grants we have been successful with bidding for, now mean we can proceed with the building of an inspiring and purpose–built chapel fit for our thriving Catholic community.

chapel The chapel is to be clad in cedar and sited at the centre of the school community.

chapel The chapel will seat 100 people, provide disabled access, lobby, kitchen, toilet, office/vestry

Building will begin in the New Year and should be completed by Easter. The stand–alone chapel is to be sited at the heart of our school community, visible as you enter the school and available for both school and parish use. The chapel building includes office/vestry, kitchen and toilet facilities which we hope parishes, when required, will use as well.

Our thanks go to all those who have been involved from planning to fundraising, designing to implementing. We really couldn´t have done it without you! We look forward to welcoming you to our opening Mass!
